-Aeroplanes with a maximum takeoff mass above 5,700 kg may be registered. If the MTOM is between 2,730 kg and 5,700, registration may be considered if it means a significant economic benefit to the IOM private sector.
-Owners must have a proper qualification under the Air Navigation Order 2015.
-Twin turbine-engine helicopters can be registered.
-All documentation submitted to the IOMAR for the application process must be provided in English or have a certified translation.
About the Qualified Ownership
The Aircraft must be registered by an individual or a company from any country that is part of the British Commonwealth or the European Economic Area. Japan, the United States and China are additionally acceptable for aircraft awaiting a commercial lease.
