How to Invest in our Environment: Our Expert Presents a New Profitable Project
As human beings multiply around the globe, we also increase our waste and, with it, the damage we do to our home, the environment. Over the last decade, there has been an effort to try and stop this phenomenon, but it does not seem to bring many results.
One reason may be that not all people and businesses find financial benefits in the movement. While it is very satisfying to do our bit to prevent the destruction of the planet, it is also true that a large income should accompany a large investment.
That is why at Mundo we want to offer you to be part of a project that not only offers wonderful solutions for areas such as agriculture and industry but also allows you to recover your contribution and even make a profit.
Our expert partner in the field, Andrey, will explain all the details about this new project and how you can earn money by recycling sewage sludge into fertilizers. Keep reading!
Q. Dear Andrey, thank you for being with us today. We are very excited to promote this project. Firstly, can you please tell us about your career?
A. Thank you for having me. I have experience in the field of technology transfer and the legal support of international investment projects. I have also participated in the creation of the center for scaling waste processing in Russia and accompanying a company created by a team of Soviet scientists and engineers.
Q. What is the project you are offering right now?
A. In short, the goal of the project is to recycle sewage sludge into organo-mineral fertilizers. The founders of the project include a team of authors and scientists on international markets. Based on the experience of investing and structuring business processes, we can begin a project in any country.
The technology based on the use of renewable sources of raw materials and the recycling of nutrients is very cost-effective, and the fertilizers obtained as a result of the technologies used to contain, in addition to nutrients, macro and microelements, amino acids, and humus.
Fertilizers are intended mainly for the industrial production of agricultural products. Still, they can also be used in the operation of landscaping facilities, forest park zones, and the restoration of depleted and damaged soils and industrial lands.
Q. What is the problem with today’s fertilizers?
A. For comparison, 8.7 million tons of sewage sludge fit into 150 thousand train cars with a length of 2 thousand km, which is approximately equal to the distance from Helsinki to Rome or a layer of 0.5 m that could cover the entire territory of Finland.
According to forecasts, by 2040, the world’s population will exceed 9 billion people and the formation of a sustainable food system is becoming one of the main tasks of the world community.
Increasing agricultural productivity, according to the UN sustainable development agenda, is one of the main ways to ensure food security for the world population.
Q. Can you explain, in simple words, how does this technology turn sewage sludge waste into environmental fertilizers?
A. It is possible thanks to the removal of sludge from landfill cards, followed by separation, grinding, dehydration, and heat treatment. During these stages, our project applies innovative methods and chemical formulas for fertilizing.
Such technologies are suitable for replication at other treatment facilities. However, a requirement for the application of technologies is the amount of sludge formation at treatment plants and the level of pollution with heavy metals.
Technology has been infected for many years and the work of well-known large processing enterprises. Specialists and scientific developers have been involved in this industry for over 30 years. The result of many years and experience allowed us to combine industrial development into one technology. Separately, laboratory and chemical tests were carried out, which took 5 years. The success of the tests allowed us to complete our industrial production project.
Q. Why is this less expensive than other fertilizers?
A. The principle is that the initial raw material is waste and has zero cost, and, in some cases, like in Europe, enterprises pay for disposal.
Q. What are the ROI expectations for the investors who choose to invest in it, and in how long can they expect to receive profit?
A. Investors can expect to receive profit according to the following data:
- Discount rate: 23%.
- Payback period – PB (months): 51.
- Discounted payback period – DPB (months): 61.
- Average rate of return – ARR: 52.63%.
- Internal rate of return – IRR: 43.12%.
- Modified internal rate of return – MIRR: 32.54%.
Q. We have heard that Soviet scientists have developed this technology. How long has this technology existed, and when did they start to develop it? What are the advantages?
A. The advantage of our technology is:
- The use of renewable raw materials and well-known technological limits in the aggregate constitute the new technology for producing effective fertilizer.
- A high level of automation and product quality control.
- The ability to create composite fertilizers based on livestock, poultry waste, catering waste, forestry complex.
In the interest of implementing the R&D, a group of specialists working in related fields has created a center for scaling waste processing technologies.
Earlier, starting in the 1990s, design and engineering work was carried out, including the creation of original technologies for various industries.
For several years, as part of design and engineering activities, in the field of construction of civil structures, energy facilities, and industrial technologies, research was carried out in the field of waste-free and energy-saving technologies.
Do you have questions?
The projects were completed:
- Reconstruction of the Oryol TPP with a superstructure of existing power units with gas turbines.
- Flue gas cleaning project during the reconstruction of the Cherepovets state district power station.
- Project proposals for the energy supply of the Konevets’ Monastery with the use of a combination of wind and power units, a pumped storage station with the installation of small hydraulic turbines.
- The feasibility study of the construction using the derivation method of a small hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 7 MW using the existing reservoir in conjunction with the construction of waterworks in the interests of Ust-Luga, Sosnovy Bor.
- A project to select a site for the construction of a PSPP on the shores of the Gulf of Finland using a natural topography when creating the upper and lower basins of mine pipelines and, as a result, minimizing the volume of investments in creating the upper and lower basins.
- A study was made of the wind power potential of sites in the Gulf of Finland and a feasibility study, together with the American companies PERI, CMT, and MAI, with the participation of GE Wind Energy and ABB, of the construction of a 75 MW industrial wind power plant in the Primorsk region of the Leningrad Region.
- The developments of Lidesm JSC and partners for the production of cement from the TPP ash and the reduction of heat loss during the transport of heat energy from the TPP to the consumer were considered at the Technical Council of RAO UES, the solutions of which were recommended for implementation.
Together with a group of companies in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, and research teams, proposals were developed for various industrial enterprises to create non-waste processing technologies with the simultaneous production of heat and electric energy; basalt-like gravel; bio-oil and commercial products from selected paper, textile, and polymer wastes.
Q. Is the project financed in Finland? What is the relationship with this country?
A. The project in Finland will be implemented as a start-up project. According to preliminary proposals, there are cities and projects in Finland that need our technology and are invited to cooperate. Today, this is the stage of approval by the State structure. Using the support program for innovative technologies with the assistance of our allies, we are implementing our project.
Q. What would you say is the differential factor of your product? In other words, what makes this technology special?
A. The simplicity of the new technology, the cost of the products, and the high demand in the world of new fertilizers. It is ONE technology with THREE solutions:
- Ecology – disposal of sludge waste.
- Agriculture – preserve and increase soil fertility (restoring degraded soil).
- Industry – creation of technological equipment.
Q. Would you recommend our readers from Latin America to invest in Russia and why? Is it safe to invest here?
A. Yes, of course. By investing in Russia, they will get stability, freedom of movement of capital, and low costs of capital investment. It is an excellent jurisdiction as it has the presence of highly qualified personnel, the possibility of development, and a territory with great potential.
As you can see, there is a way to protect the planet and your wallet at the same time. To have more information about this great project and how to become a part of it, contact us now.
